A lecture Tour to Florence & Rome

On the 25th of June 2006 ended a magnificent exhibition of Michelangelo drawings at the British Museum. The exhibition ‘Closer to the Master’ assembled the most magnificent collection of drawings by Michelangelo and his contemporaries in recent memory and provided a marvellous insight into the mind of the greatest artist of the western tradition.

Nearly all Michelangelo’s masterpieces in painting and sculpture are in Italy and Equinox is delighted to have joined forces with Hugo Chapman, the curator of the drawings exhibition, in organising this tour to see Michelangelo’s greatest masterpieces.

The tour flies into Milan and out of Rome spending equal time in Florence and Rome visiting all the works by Michelangelo on public display in both cities. We will be staying in excellent centrally located hotels in both cities. Hugo will take us to see Michelangelo’s works on public display.

Nick Reese will be the tour manager and will conduct supplementary tours.
