The Northern Renaissance: Bruges, Gent and Brussels

See masterpieces by Van Eyck, Memling and Van de Weyden as part of this fully escorted lecture tour.

Highlights include:
Painting: Masterpieces by Jan van Eyck including: the Gent Altarpiece.
Bruges: the Groeningen Museum and the Memling Museum. Brussels: Musée d’Art Ancien, which houses paintings by Hieronymous Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, Rogier Van der Weyden and Peter Paul Rubens.

Sculpture: Michelangelo’s famous Bruges Madonna
Architecture: Brussels’ Grand-Place, Medieval and Art Nouveau architecture; Bruges’ Great Cloth Hall, its Churches, Market Place and Convents.
