Trek to the source of the Ganges. This expedition takes us to the heart of the majestic Gahrwhal Himalayas, trekking to the source of the most important and holiest river in India, the Ganges.

We also trek to one of the finest alpine meadows in the Himalayas; Tapovan, the meditation ground for the Gods at the base of the magnificent mountain "Shivling". Known as the Mattahorn of the Himalayas, this mountain is one of the most impressive in the whole range. We stay one full day in Tapovan to witness the outstanding sunrise and sunset on Shivling and the Bhagirathi group of Mountains.

This trek is immensely interesting for the fact that there will be many Pilgrims walking up to one of the holiest places in the Hindu world. White water rafting at Rishikesh is also included in this trek itinerary. We will also take the opportunity to see the magnificent Taj Mahal in Agra as a conclusion to the trip.
